So I’m guessing these outstanding votes are the late arrival ballots. Didn’t I recall or read that consensus was that Huntsman was gaining momentum the days before the election?

Now in entering the county results with the precincts reporting for each county, I finally realized that that estimated final feature of the site does. :)

What an exciting finish if true.

BrentinCO: Kyle, what is the Utah press saying about this. Are we just waiting to check the box for Cox, or is there some reason to believe there are enough votes out there for Huntsman to close the 11K vote gap?

Sorry, missed this. Huntsman underperformed in his top counties yesterday (Salt Lake, Weber, Summit.) He would need to win the outstanding vote by 40. Cox is going to win, but outlets are waiting until the next batch of results drops on Monday. However, as Dave Wasserman says, "I've seen enough..."

One thing I would caution is that, in a vote by mail state like Utah, outlets like the NY Times have not adjusted their precincts reported feature. Could be important for November as well.

How did he miss "Check the box for Cox" as a campaign slogan?
