Coming off what appears to be a Republican sweep of the Supreme Court races, someone registered quite a few domains for Anita Earls.

Speaking of Grassley, it looks like someone registered Ashley Hinson for Senate too. Part of me is skeptical it was her campaign tho, since her current website is just her name dot com.

No need to if everyone agrees Heath Shuler is the best candidate and the rest of the field drops out. 😈

Heath Shuler is not the best either on policy or in actual relevancy.

I was sorta trolling. But your comment underscores that it will be difficult for Dems to find a consensus candidate to run against Lara Trump.

Well none of the candidates here are exactly the best but lets look at these guys 1 by 1.
Smith: Pretended to be Left but was not really different from Cal
Earls/Martin: Not particularly well known
Shuler: Has-been
Ross: Already lost b4
The best choices are probably Stein, Cooper, or Jackson as all are well known enough and 2 have shown their ability to flip a seat from red 2 blue

What about Clay Aiken?
Looks like that was an oddball speculation that is not pannin out
EPU's Ruben for life.
IDK what this means but rn I'd probably write-in Terry Sanford 4 the primary then depending on who wins Write-In Marion Butler come general.

A colleague I used to work with was crazy for Aiken. When to his concerts, would listen to his music, had pictures with him. She donated money when he ran for Congress. She called herself a "Claymate" which I think is the term of all the middle aged women that obsessed over him used to describe themselves.

Heath Shuler would instantly be one of the top three democrat senators (with Sinema and Manchin.)

Well, at least you are consistent like any good socialist. You wanted him against Tillis too if I recall.
Yeah, I miss him he was past my time. There are newer guys I can suggest but Bothwell got history

Manchin literally tried to be the thing holding off people from getting $2,000 Checks. THAT is exactly why Shuler should stay away...

Jackson would probably be the best candidate here (other than Cooper, but he's not going anywhere), but I do worry if he might have missed his best opportunity win, even if it was for a good reason. 2022 could be a tougher climate for him based on history.
I don't think Shuler would actually jump into this race, especially if Jackson does indeed run. He would be a good candidate to face Cawthorn for his old district, but the seat is likely too red for a Democrat to win in this climate.

If Cal Cunningham hadn't been a horny adulterer, he would have won. It was not his lack of membership in the Democratic Socialists that led to his loss.

Like Sara Gideon and Theresa Greenfield? The other candidates the DSCC shoved down our throats while pushing other candidates out of the race?

Former cocaine-riddled Executive Director of the NC GOP turned cocaine-riddled political columnist Dallas Woodhouse wrote in one of his recent articles that former Chief Justice Cheri Beasley is considering a run here, and that former Gov Pat McCrory is actively planning a run.
