Llanelli sits on the Carmarthenshire coast in west Wales. The town itself is famous for its rich rugby history and is home to the Scarlets rugby team.
Llanelli has fewer businesses per 10,000 residents than most constituencies with 199 - the 83rd lowest of any seat in the UK. At 67% the employment rate is also lower than the British average.
The seat has been Labour's since 1922. The current MP is Nia Griffith who's been the MP for Llanelli since 2005. At the last election Ms Griffith won the seat with 42.5% of the vote. Plaid Cymru had 29.9%, the Conservatives got 14.4%, the Liberal Democrats received 10.4% and UKIP had 2.8%.
