BBC Constituency Profile:
Situated to the south east of London is the largely suburban seat of Bromley and Chislehurst. Conservative Prime Minister Harold Macmillan was Bromley's most prominent MP from 1945 to 1964 - its current incumbent is former London Assembly member Bob Neill, who took over in 2006 following the death of his outspoken predecessor, Eric Forth.
The constituency is relatively prosperous with low unemployment - two thirds of the population own their own home. One in 10 works in financial and insurance activities - the 15th highest proportion of all constituencies in England and Wales, according to ONS 2011 Census figures.
Human health, professional, scientific and technical activities are also important sectors. One in five has a professional occupation. One in six is over the age of 65. At the 2010 election, Bob Neill held the seat for the Conservatives with 53.5% of the votes; Liberal Democrats got 22%, Labour 16.6% and UKIP 3.3%.
