| Description |
Departments electing four or more senators elect them by a form of proportional representation. In this system parties/blocs put forth a candidate list and votes are listed for the lead candidate on each list, but in situations where a list garners enough support for more than the lead candidate to be elected these other candidates are still elected under the lead candidate's name. As such winning candidates from each bloc will be listed on this page as each earning the number of votes cast for the bloc.
In this case the main left-wing bloc led by Auban won three seats while the main right-wing bloc and a rival left bloc each won a single seat.
