The 32d Democratic National Convention assembled in the International Amphitheatre in Chicago IL. Adlai E. Stevenson was nominated for President on the first ballot as seen below. Estes Kefauver was nominated for VP over Sen. John F. Kennedy in a two-ballot seesaw which most political junkies think is more interesting than the Presidential balloting.
