Description |
Totals might be Anderson 341495 (67.32%), Millin 134453 (26.51%), and Hosmer 31302 (6.17%). Although the totals listed here are the certified totals.
Henry County, MO election results as listed in the 1969-1970 Missouri Manual were Hosmer 1388, Millin 210, Anderson 64. Due to descrepencies between the Henry County total votes in this Democratic primary and other primaries, there is a likelyhood that the total was Anderson 1388, Millin 474, Hosmer 93. The Primary results had the 3 Democrats (Anderson, Millin, Hosmer) and 2 Republicans (Furtaw, Danforth). So the results, listed in the order in the 1969-1970 Manual were 64, 210, 1388, 474, 93. Which if my theory is correct, means that the results got garbled.
Either that, or Henry County was very contrarian in that primary and had several hundred people people not voting in a Democratic primary for Attorney General and voting in primaries for US Senate. Not to mention an extremely low total for the incumbent Attorney General while every county boardering Henry County was won by the incumbent.
