| Description |
Term end due to resignation following Mike Watson MSP entering a guilty plea on two counts of arson stemming from an incident at Edinburgh's Prestonfield Hotel on November 15, 2004. Watson, who has also served as a life peer in the House of Lords since 1997, was convicted September 22, 2005 and sentenced to 16 months of prison. He was released after serving half his sentence, but may not seek election to Holyrood due to having received a custodial sentence through the date of the 2007 elections.
