| Description |
Paschen dropped out of the race after it became known that funds raised by his office for charitable means were used for as political contributions. Paschen was not aware of the use of the money at the time and was not convicted of any wrong doing. His withdrawal was seen as the right thing to do in order to obtain a Democratic victory in November. Paschen was later elected to the Circuit Court.
