The vote of Guilford County was revised after the state canvass, as that county had originally reported all write-in votes in the county in the Paul column. The revised totals in Guilford County distributed write-ins for Bush and Dukakis (none were cast for Fulani) and separated out the Paul write-ins. The resulting county totals were R-66,172; D-50,421; NA-276; Lbt-38. These revised totals reduce Paul's statewide total to 756. |

The 6th District Elector was the youngest Elector in the nation in 1988.
