If you guys can, check out the indy movie "Grassroots" that centers on this election. It's certainly a fun look at how local politics works, especially with quirky candidates who end up becoming legitimate contenders.

The book on which it's based, too. Movie took some liberties but still pleasing enough. Cogswell was a little impulsive/volatile but his heart was in the right place and his era's version of the Seattle Left was about a million times more decent than this generation's.
