Description |
The Republicans scored a major victory in the races for the Senate in 1924. They won 22 of the 34 races (including two special elections), taking a net of two seats from the Democrats and one from the Farmer Labor Party. The Republicans won all but two races outside of the South. Following the election, the Senate stood at 54 Republicans, 40 Democrats, and one other.
