Rs tend to do better in higher turnout environments these days, the lower the turnout the better Dems generally perform.

I get this is a special election and Democrats almost always overperform in them, but this is still quite significant. I thought this seat would be an easy Republican hold.

Turnout appears to have crashed by over half compared to the last election.
