E Pluribus Unum: But when his platform includes "SEAL THE BORDER" and "LOWER THE DEFICIT", it's hard to see people on the Left back him unless they haven't been paying attention

Why, exactly, are those supposedly anti-left issues? "Seal the border" is fine if you have a robust legal immigration and emergency refugee program. And the Republicans were the ones to shoot down the border bill. "Lower the deficit" should be a good thing for any side. It's the center-left Democrats who actually do that while the Republican blow up the deficit whenever they can.

feels like Kucinich-inclined people would be talking way more than they are if Kucinich was seriously going to finish 2nd here

Kucinich isn't George Galloway, electorally, and Ohio isn't the UK in regards to voting for Kucinich no matter what label he's running with

They are anti-left because they buy into Right-Wing Framing of Immigration and Economics that don't lead to good outcomes.

"Legal Immigrant" vs "Illegal Immigrant" are meaningless differentiations to me, and have been used to simply weed out "Undesireables" from the US Banning immigration from Non-white nations (Which have been frequently changed to suit the needs of the capitalist class) to making the process cost upwards to $10,000.

Not even acknowledging the Austerity measures that have historically been used to address the "DEFICIT"

It sounds like you/the Left have bought into and capitulated to the right wing framing on these issues. Just accepting their definitions?

A big chunk of politics is defining the framing of issues. You can't just accept the redefinition or words by your opponent the then be reactionary and oppose them. Maybe that's why the left is often so bad at politics.

No? I am rejecting them? You are the one capitulating because you are doing the things they want. This isn't a "REDEFINITION" this is what Conservatives have been advocating for for YEARS, you are the one trying wiggle your way into somehow advocating a SEAL OF THE BORDER will somehow also allow legal immigration...

As a third party candidate, Kucinich did decently.

As a former longtime congressman for this state and candidate for president with name recognition, he did terrible.
