Description |
Republican nomination
The Republican state convention met on 2/28/1868 and nominated Battle, Reade, Dick, and Rodman. Battle was dropped from the ticket soon thereafter, and by 3/12 Settle was designated as the fourth Republican nominee.
Conservative nomination
The Conservative ticket was nominated around 3/1/1868. Their ticket was Reade (who also appeared on the Republican ticket), Battle, Manly, and Merrimon.
Seats on the Supreme Court
