Description | Buddhist party which represented the Ta'ang people (Palaung or Benglong Palong), a Mon-Khmer ethnic minority living in the independent Shan State within Burma. Party had close links to the Chinese government and Shan State organized crime circles involved in poppy cultivation. Party was dissolved along with 39 others on March 28, 2023. Party was led by U Aik Mone [တအာင်းအမျိုးသားပါတီ (TNP)]. |
