| Description | Centrist 'technocentric' (a concept centering on technology as the driving force of a society) party formed by ex members of the New Social Democratic Party after its withdrawal from the ruling coalition in unison with the VMRO-DPMNE after early parliamentary elections held in 2008. Party was co-founded by former Minister of Defense Lazar Elenovski, Vele Mitanovski and former Minister of the Economy Vera Rafailovska. Party supports immediate adoption of international advances in nuclear and computer technology and Macedonia's quick membership in all major Western organizations, especially the EU. Party is led by internationally-known freestyle wrestler and referee Cedo Nikolovski [Социјалдемократска унија (CDU)] - [NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia]. |
