Description | Pro-government party alleged to be the political 'influence peddler' of Kyrgyzstan's powerful Matraimov family. Party picked up seats on many local kengeshes (councils) in the 2016 and 2018 elections. Party is led by construction industry entrepreneur Nurbek Osmonov. Mekenim's prime ministerial candidate, Rayimbek Matraimov, a former customs official accused of corruption, is identified as an éminence grise of Kyrgyz politics. Mekenim Kyrgyzstan translates as "My Homeland Kyrgyzstan." Mekinem merged with the Tabylga party on August 14, 2020. Party aims to build Kyrgyzstan into a developed market economy and transform it into an IT hub.
