| Description | Center-left, social-liberal party established and led by Romania's 63rd Prime Minister and former Social Democrat Party President, Victor Ponta. On October 2020, PRO Romania began merger talks with ALDE (the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats). The new merged party named itself "PRO Romania Social Liberal" on October 8, 2020 [PRO România Social Liberal (PRO)]. However, on January 28, 2021 the merger procedure suddenly ceased with ALDE. PRO Romania was revived as a small local-interests party focused on European parliamentary representation [PRO România]. |
