| Description | Center-right party launched by members of the Riga Latvian Society, an association established in 1868 seeking to preserve Latvian traditions. Party has a support base among pensioners and encouraged increasing benefits to Latvians with children. Party has 16 members in the Saeima and holds 3 seats in the 14-member cabinet. Party has been led by MP Jānis Bordāns since May 2014 [Jaunā konservatīvā partija (JKP)]. Party dissolved on February 26, 2022, re-emerging as "The Conservatives." |
