| Description | Moravia-nationalist party supporting Moravian and Silesian self-government within the Czech Republic. Party name was decided upon merger of the Movement of Self-Governing Moravia and Silesia with the Moravian Democratic Party in 2005. Party sees the current boundaries of Czechia as a historical aberration and decries the law effected on January 1, 2000, which divided the Czech Republic into 14 regions as artificial, not reflective of true conditions and undemocratic. Party ses Czech governments as pragocentric (centered on Prague) and not responsive to the needs of the rest of the country, particularly the Moravia region. Party is chaired by Ctirad Musil [Moravané Politika Stranka (MPS)]. |
