Chin State-based party representing the Sino-Tibetan Chin (or the "Zomi") people in Myanmar, who agreed via the Panglong Agreement to join the Union of Burma in 1947.
Party was formed in 1988 as the Zomi National Congress, changing its name in 2012.
Party promotes federalism and coexistence, but fiercely advances the word "Zomi" to describe the "Chin" people.
It is known as the 'Zomi League for Democracy' in Myanmar. Party is led by Pu Chin Sian Thang.
