Political arm of the Pa-O National Army (also with the acronym PNO). Party administers what is called the 'Pa'O Self-Administered Zone,' one of about a half-dozen 'independent' militant-run territories in Myanmar, many of which are organized crime sanctuaries. Zone was established by decree on August 20, 2010 and is composed of the Hopong, Hsi Hseng, and Pinlaung townships.
Party is chaired by U San Lwin who is also chairman of the 'Pa'O Self-Administered Zone.'
