| Description | Center-left party which became a sensation just weeks after it was launched due to its popular leader Miro Cerar (known affectionately as the 'Party of Miro Cerar'). Party took a historic 36 seats in the 90-seat Assembly in 2014. Cerar was mandated to lead a government on September 18, 2014, then renamed his party the Modern Centre Party [Stranka modernega centra (SMC)] in 2015. SMC was annihilated in the 2018 parliamentary elections, clinching just 10 seats. The Cerar government collapsed and Cerar resigned on March 14, 2018. Party then joined the coalition led by Marjan Šarec's LMŠ (List of Marjan Šarec) on the counsel of SMC's new leader, Zdravko Počivalšek. Party agreed to merge with the Economic Activity Party (GAS) in 2019, and named the new party KonKretno on December 4, 2021. SMC dissolved itself the same day. |
