DescriptionUnited Minorities Front, Assam is a regional political party in Assam, India. UMFA was set up in 1985 by the All Assam Minority Students Union, as a response to the militant "anti-foreigner" agitations of All Assam Students Union and the signing of the Assam Accord. The support of UMFA comes mainly from Bengali Muslims.

The president of UMFA is Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury. who has been the last founding member of the party to stay till it is merged with AUDF .

But on 20 January 2006 State level committee has been formed in state level coference challenge with the Ex.President Shri.H.R.A.Choudhury. The UMFA contest in the Assembly Election held in April 2006 in the following constituency. (1) 45 No. Baghbar (2) North Lakhimpur (3)Bilashipara West But One Nomination has been cancelled (in Dalgaon Constituency) and another has been widrawal of 45 No.Jania Constituency. with the parties Symbol(Boat)

Now The UMF party is goin to contest in the Panchayat Election 2013.
