Party launched by Guillermo Endara, who was Panama's first president after Manuel Noriega was deposed in 1989. Endara had been a candidate in the 2004 elections for the Solidarity Party. Endara then formed the VMP in 2007 to run in the 2009 presidential election.
Party dissolved after failing to earn a single seat in the National Assembly that year. Endara died on September 28, 2009 [Vanguardia Moral por la Patria (VMP)].
