| Description | Islamist party banned since its establishment in 1976. Party was permitted to operate again on October 26, 1991 and officially dubbed Tajikistan's only Islamic party. Party was founded by Sayyed Abdullah Nuri and was led until 2015 by Muhiddin Kabiri.
Party was declared a terrorist organization by Tajikistan's Supreme Court on September 29, 2015 [Link] and banned again [party also known as Hizbi Nahzati Islomii Tojikiston]. |
