Francophone center-right party and successor to the one-time governing Christian Social Party (Parti Social Chrétien) dissolved in 2002. Party was co-launched and initially led by former Interior Minister Joëlle Milquet. Party (and its predecessors) endured a multi-decade decline in legislative representation, collapsing to a five-seat mandate after elections held on May 26, 2019, its worst performance in its history. Party decided to dissolve itself on March 17, 2022, re-emerging as Les Engagés led by Maxime Prévot, the Mayor of Namur [Centre démocrate humaniste (CdH)].
