Centrist to center-right umbrella organization of municipal voter groups under the titular leadership of the Bundesvereinigung Freie Wähler (the Federal Association of Free Voters). The Federal Association registered itself as a party bearing the name Free Voters Germany (FREIE WÄHLER DEUTSCHLAND), with the purpose of running in federal and state elections. Each regional or state branch of the Association adapts itself to regional peculiarities and takes the name FREIE WÄHLER ("Free Voters") as its logo, adding to it the region where it is located. The federal chairman is Hubert Aiwanger [FREIE WÄHLER (FW or FWG)].
