DescriptionMinor social democratic party, allied with major left-wing Party of the Democratic Revolution in both presidential elections in existence. Ran independent of PRD in 2003 Congressional elections, drawing 2.3% of the vote and five seats in the House of Deputies. Won record five senate seats in the 2006 elections allied with the PRD and PT.

In 2011 the party changed its name to Citizens' Movement.
