DescriptionLeft-of-center social democratic party formerly lead by Niger's fourth President Mahamane Ousmane until an internal battle with his dismissed former minister Abdou Labo (alleged to be involved in a child trafficking ring) forced his departure from the party in 2016. Labo subsequently wound up the CDS' 2016 presidential candidate.

Party was led by Boubacar Madougou beginning September 2019 until his death on September 1 2020 [Convention démocratique et sociale-Rahama (CDS-Rahama)].
