| Description | Faction of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms led by Turkish-Bulgarian Dzhevdet Chakarov organized into a coalition. Coalition was formed with the Agricultural People's Union" (Земеделски народен съюз, ZNS) led by Roumen Yonchev, and the SBOR (Just Bulgaria United Patriots; Справедлива България обединени родолюбци, СБОР). Coalition was at first denied recognition by the Central Election Commission until a Supreme Court decision on September 11, 2024 allowed it to participate in elections planned for October 27, 2024. The decision allowed Chakarov, who is allied to the the Movement's honorary leader Ahmed Dogan, to remain co-chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms alongside rival Delyan Peevski, who was permitted by the same court on the same day to register his own faction as the "DPS - A New Beginning" (aka, DPS-Peevski). Both parties were members of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms coalition, which wound up split in two parts ahead of the October 27, 2024 parliamentary election. Party was recognized by the Bulgarian Election Commission and registered on September 11, 2024 [Алианс за права и свободи, (APS); aka, DPS Dogan]. |
