| Description | Flanders iteration of the successful BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) phenomenon in the Netherlands. Party was founded by farmer Tine Hermans and joined by agricultural sector leader Filip Boone, who merges within the BBB his own party, Gezond Burger Verstand Vlaanderen (GBVV, “Common sense citizen of Flanders”). Party pursues the same objective of its Dutch counterpart, which is to give an electoral voice to farmers' protests of government efforts to reduce nitrogen in the atmosphere by eliminating agriculture production techniques and judged-to-be nonsensical desires to cull cattle to contain bovine flatulence. Party intends to participate in the Flemish parliamentary elections planned for June 9, 2024 [BoerBurgerBelangen (BBB); name switches out the Dutch "Beweging" and replaces it with "Belangen"]. |
