Description | Center-left party founded by the MP of District 1 of the Arica and Parinacota Region, and former president of the Chamber of Deputies (November 7, 2022-July 24, 2023), Vlado Mirosevic. Party is the successor of ChilePrimero (CH1), which dissolved on January 26, 2013. Party co-launched the Democratic Socialism coalition, which since March 2022, has been part of the government of Gabriel Boric. Party identifies cultural liberalism as its main ideology. Party President is Juan Carlos Urzúa. Party holds five seats in the 155-seat Chamber of Deputies [not to be confused with the defunct Liberal Party, which dissolved in 1966. Active party was officially registered as the Partido Liberal de Chile (Liberal Party of Chile), adding "de Chile" on January 26, 2013 to distinguish it]. |
