Description | Three-party coalition traditionally anchored by the Socialist Party of Serbia which reconstitutes itself ahead of every election cycle. The original coalition, called the SPS—PUPS—JS, was co-founded by Ivica Dacic, former head of the SPS, Jovan Krkobabic, former head of PUPS, and Dragan Markovic of the United Serbia party. The relaunched coalition under the name Ivica Dacic — Prime Minister of Serbia was formed on April 1, 2022 and was resurrected on November 2, 2023 ahead of snap elections planned for December 17, 2023. It consists of the Socialist Party, United Serbia and the Greens of Serbia. The SPS coalition has been part of the government of Serbia since it was established in 2008, first as a member of the coalition government with the Democratic Party, and since 2012 with the SNS coalition. Coalition holds 31 seats in the National Assembly. The leader of the coalition is Dragan Markovic [Ивица Дачић — Премијер Србије (ID)]. |
