Marxist-Leninist pro-Russia coalition of the Communist Party and Sovereign and Popular Italy Again (AISP). Party opposes Italy's membership in NATO and supports secession from the European Union. Party demands an immediate end of support for the Ukraine which it condemns as neo-fascist. Party was founded and is led by the former General Secretary of the Communist Party (PC) from 2009 to 2023 Marco Rizzo, who maintains the distinction as Italy's most prominent communist, having been leader of five different communist parties since 1981. The DSP is a successor to Rizzo's Sovereign and Popular Italy (Italia Sovrana e Popolare, ISP) dissolved on December 21, 2022 [Democrazia Sovrana Popolare (DSP)].
