| Description | Right-of-center to Islamist, pro-democratization, Turkish-nationalist party launched and chaired by former Great Union Party (BBP) leader Remzi Çayır. Çayır was imprisoned for 12 years (1979-1991) by the authorities under General Kenan Evren for nationalist 'exuberance' and wrote about his experiences. Party is an opponent of the Presidential Government System which has, in its opinion, put Turkey on a 'road' to authoritarianism [Milli Yol Partisi (MİLLİ YOL)]. |
