DescriptionFar-left party established by members of the 'Orienteering circle' (Leninist activists behind the Labor party's newspaper, the Orienteering) dissatisfied with the Labor Party's pro-West foreign policy during the Cold War. Party opposes oil drilling in the archipelagos of Lofoten and Vesterålen, Norwegian membership in NATO, the EU and the EEA. Party has been led since March 26, 2012 by Hordaland MP Audun Lysbakken [SV – Sosialistisk Venstreparti (SV-Socialist Left Party)].
