Center-right Europe-focused brainchild of former Prime Minister Dacian Cioloș (November 17, 2015 to January 4, 2017) after he resigned on February 7, 2022 the reconstituted Save Romania Union (USR) he had helped launch on October 3, 2021. Party was joined by four MEPs who also split from the Save Romania Union, two of whom, Dragoș Pîslaru and Ramona Strugariu, became co-presidents of Cioloș' new party. Party seeks to develop Romania's links to the European Union and supports enhanced trans-national cooperation. Cioloș' had in mind European parliamentary elections planned for mid 2024 when he launched the party and it instantly holds five seats in the European Parliament [Reînnoim Proiectul European al României (REPER)].
