Centrist party active in the Eastern Indian state of Bihar launched by Chirag Paswan. Party emerged from the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founded by Chirag's father, union minister Ram Vilas Paswan. After Ram Vilas' death on October 8, 2020, rivalry over ownership of the LJP between Chirag and his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras forced the LJP's split by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on October 5, 2021 into two separate parties. The ECI allotted the name Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) to Chirag, and Paras got Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party. Party was granted a 'helicopter' symbol by the ECI on October 6, 2021.
