| Description | Liberal center-right party launched by 2022 presidential candidate, former Minister of the Interior and President of the Senate Juan Fernando Cristo after he broke off from the Colombian Liberal Party in 2018. Party was inspired by Cristo's father, Jorge Cristo Sahium, who created the Liberal Renewal Movement in 1975, becoming a Senator the next year. Cristo was assassinated on August 8, 1997 by the guerilla group National Liberation Army (ELM). Party is a member of the Hope Coalition [Movimiento En Marcha Colombia (MEMC)]. |
