| Description | Iran-nationalist group turned party on September 23, 2014 formed by former ministers in the government of Iran's sixth President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Though hardline-nationalist to reactionary, the party distances itself from the ideas of Ahmadinejad's totalitarian Deviant Current faction/party. Party was the 2nd-largest member-constituent of the dominant Principlists Coalition in 2012, with 85 seats, but has since seen its seat-presence dwindle to three. Party has been led by its secretary-general, former Interior Minister Sadegh Mahsouli, since 2021 [جبههٔ پایداری انقلاب اسلامی; Jebha-ye pāydārī-e enqelāb-e eslāmī, (JP); aka, Front of Islamic Revolution Stability, Persevering Front, Endurance Front and Steadfast Front]. |
