| Description | Fusion of three Shan State parties located in the 'independent' Wa Self-Administered Division in northern Shan State. They are the Wa National Unity Party the Wa Democratic Party and the Wa Liberal Democratic Development Party
The Wa National Party claims to represent the Wa ethnic people living in northern, southern and eastern Shan State. Region is however administered by criminal organizations linked to triad groups in China and the parties are generally known as fronts.
Party supports federalism and coexistence with the Burmese people within Myanmar.
Party is chaired by U Sai Pao Nup. |
