| Description | Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas) has decided to endorse a Republican primary challenger to Sen. Robert Bennett (Utah).
Armey plans to announce his support for Mike Lee Thursday at the CPAC conference of movement conservatives and Tea Party activists in Washington.
Conservatives such as Erick Erickson, editor-in-chief of RedState.com, have called for Bennett's defeat because of how they view his centrist record in the Senate, such as the 2008 vote for the Wall Street bailout. |
