| Description | One year after the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust, the relentless and escalating violence in the Middle East is threatening the Democratic coalition in the United States. Arab American voters show signs of abandoning the Democratic ticket, while some Jews worry about their future in a party their families embraced for generations.
Nowhere are those tensions more politically important than in Michigan, a crucial battleground state with a significant population of Arab American and Muslim voters.
Four years ago, President Biden won Michigan with strong backing from many of those Americans. But interviews this weekend with voters, activists and community leaders in the Detroit area suggested that support for the Democratic ticket has not merely eroded among Arab Americans and Muslims.
In some neighborhoods, it has all but vanished. |

Frankly some of these people are absolute radicals. Not all of them but there is zero reason for Kamala Harris to pander to Hezbollah supporters. This isn't hyperbole btw. First of all, the source used for the translations is MEMRI, which is notoriously unreliable in its translations; most notably when translating the Hamas run Children's TV Show Tomorrows Pioneers. Translating a girl saying "The Jews are killing us" into "We will annihilate the Jews". And translating another little girl saying "I'm going to draw a picture" into "I'll shoot" when asked what will she do.
In any event we need to address the reason WHY many of these people feel that Nasrallah was the only person standing up for them and revering him as such and do things to prevent people from doing so. And the unfortunate situation is that if there's nobody else that speaks for you, people will turn to anyone who does...

My respect for this position would be a lot more robust, if there was any distinguishable policy difference between Trump and Harris on this issue.
I will grant that Harris claims to be in favor of a cease fire. But all indications are that she is lying, and just saying that for public consumption.
Perhaps you believe she's sincere? Fair enough, but if so, then I believe you're gullible.

Ben-Gvir has OPENLY stated that under a Trump Admin "Israel will receive the backing to act against Iran", which makes sense considering Trump literally egged Iran into going to war with us MULTIPLE TIMES by withdrawing from our Nuclear Agreement and assassinating their top military general.
That is a SUBSTANTIAL difference from Kamala, who's already broken with past admins for even suggesting a Ceasefire is possible.
