At what point is it considered elder abuse to keep people who are clearly suffering from mental health issues in office? You assume it's staff and not the senator themselves, in more lucid moments, refusing to go. In my (admittedly limited) experience working in legislatures, it's the elected official who chooses to hold out until the bitter end.

First and foremost, I do sincerely hope McConnell is ok, despite these incidents, though they certainly do not signal whole wellness.
