| Description | Attorney General Merrick Garland has assigned the U.S. attorney in Chicago to review documents marked classified that were found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, two sources with knowledge of the inquiry told CBS News. The roughly 10 documents are from President Biden's vice-presidential office at the center, the sources said. CBS News has learned the FBI is also involved in the U.S. attorney's inquiry.

Can't wait for Democrats to make something up to avoid a Biden impeachment.
The article lays out an appropriate investigation being assigned to determine more information. Penalties should be assessed based on that information and the quantity, seriousness and wilfulness of the classified info in question.
We do not currently know what levels of classification these documents are at. There is a lot of different risks for different classifications. We do know that they do not include nuclear secrets.
We do not know if Biden was aware of them being at this location. If he was responsible for them being there, we do not know if it was an honest mistake or not. We do know that his representatives turned them over promptly and voluntarily soon after they were discovered.
This is a significant contrast with what Donald Trump has done that's superficially similar.

He is right, there is a huge difference. In Biden's case someone got illegally got access to it and not in Trump's case.

Trump isn't allowed to keep any government documents when he leaves office. They aren't his property, and any access to any of them is illegal.

You think Trump HIMSELF was the only person who lugged around all those heavy boxes of totally unsecured classified material all over Mar-a-lago and you're absolutely positive nobody else went through any of those totally unsecured boxes? And of course once he left Office, Trump no longer has that security clearance.
At least Biden's were in a LOCKED closet. Again, it wasn't kosher, but trying to say Trump had BETTER protection of them is ludicrous.
