| Description | The independent national electoral commission (Ceni) has just published the provisional results of the presidential election of October 18, 2020.
Unsurprisingly, it is the candidate of the RPG Arc-en-ciel, also outgoing president who is declared the winner with 2,438,815 votes or 59.49%. He is followed by his main challenger Cellou Dalein Diallo who gets him 1,373,320 or 33.20%.
Guinea is facing post-election violence, which began the day after the presidential election and left some 20 dead. |
