| Description | Since serving on the San Diego City Council from 1965-1971, he has campaigned for district attorney in San Diego and San Francisco, Congress, state attorney general, L.A. City Council, the state Board of Equalization, Nevada secretary of state, Nevada state controller and several other Nevada offices.
He even campaigned for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, unabashedly capitalizing on the name I.D. of an unrelated Schaefer, former two-term Maryland Gov. William Donald Schaefer. |
