| Description | Nick Thomas said Thursday he submitted more than 1,300 signatures to get on the ballot in November as an independent candidate in the 2nd Congressional District.
The Secretary of State’s Office still has to verify at least 800 of them as registered voters from the district for Thomas to stay in the race to succeed Democrat Jared Polis, who is running for governor.
Thomas said he’s confident he’ll have more than enough signatures, because he and his volunteers collected them, instead of relying on hired contractors who have caused problems for other candidates. |
